Rob Werner - Senior Director of Health Center Operations

Rob Werner first worked at Lawndale Christian Health Center from 1999-2005 in a variety of administrative capacities (self-titled “The Wizard”). He at various times oversaw the accounting, billing, registration, managed care, medical records, and marketing departments, and provided internal consulting for human resources and various other clinical and health support departments.

Prior to working with Lawndale Rob worked with two different international development organizations, and from 2005-2009 he worked in Afghanistan, initially with tuberculosis control programs and then with a women’s hospital and hospital management consulting. He returned to Lawndale in 2009 and is currently the Director of Clinic Operations, in which capacity he is responsible for coordinating the work of the front-line staff that care for about 500 patients each day. Rob studied Economics at Wheaton College and Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He and his wife Lisa have lived in North Lawndale since 1993, and have three children who do not like Lawndale Christian Health Center because they see coming here as synonymous with getting shots.
