Sally Schwer Canning, PhD - Clinical Pastoral Care/Primary Care Psychologist

Dr. Canning joined LCHC in 2006 as a primary care psychologist in Pediatrics and OB/GYN at the Ogden clinic. A clinical/community psychologist specializing in work with children and families, Dr. Canning received her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed pre-doctoral training at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and post-doctoral work at the Institute for Juvenile Research of the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Canning is also Associate Professor of Psychology at Wheaton College where she trains clinical psychology students to work with underserved populations.

Dr. Canning enjoys movies, painting, theatre and traveling with her family. She and her husband are the grateful parents of a terrific daughter and a feisty golden retriever named Tallulah.
