Center
Lawndale Christian Fitness Center combines cardio and resistance equipment, as well as fitness classes, to help you to improve and maintain your health.
Fitness Center guests are encouraged to join on a monthly membership basis--there is no joiner fee--but also have the option to pay for daily use. Our rates are designed to be affordable.
LCFC even offers family membership plans, designed to offer your whole family the chance to stay fit together! Classes for youth are offered at the same times as some of our popular adult classes to make your workout more convenient.
We offer a variety of classes.
For members, classes are free; for non-members, only $10 for the eight week session.
Boot Camp
Helps you work out every muscle in your body while keeping
your heart rate up using resistant bands, dumbbells, and even your own body weight as resistance
Cardio Mix
Increase your cardiorespiratory capacity through cross-training.
Cardio Punch
Improve balance, coordination, speed and strength. Develop new skill while discovering strength and attitude. This is a high intensity class and one of our most popular!
COR-iffic
In just 30 minutes, strengthen and tone your midsection and help prevent lower back pain.
Exercising with Arthritis (medically- based)
Increase your flexibility, stamina, mobility, and confidence. This class is for people with arthritis, osteoporosis, and Parkinson's Disease and is supported by the Arthritis Foundation. This is a medically-based class and participants will need to receive a referral from an LCHC provider.
Get on the Ball
Increase cardiovascular endurance as well as enhance muscle strength by using large stability balls in creative ways.
Indoor Cycling
Burn calories while strengthening you greatest muscle--your heart!
Morning Aerobics
Increase your stamina and assist with weight loss
through low impact aerobic movements.
SilverSneakers® (medically-based)
SilverSneakers® bi-lingual group exercise classes are appropriate for active seniors, as well as those who are less familiar with exercise. Exercises include work for all major and minor muscle groups addressing strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, balance, coordination, agility, speed and power. This is a medically-based class and participants will need to receive a referral from an LCHC provider.
SilverSneakers® Cardio Circuit (medically-based)
Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises. This is a medically-based class and participants will need to receive a referral from an LCHC provider.
SilverSneakers® Stretch & Flex (medically-based)
Stretching exercises that will increase flexibility, posture and breathing. This is a medically-based class and participants will need to receive a referral from an LCHC provider.
Six-Pack Attack
Sculpt, strengthen, and increase the endurance of your abdominal muscles.
Strength Toning
Strengthen and tone your body using resistance equipment such as tubing and resista-balls.
Tae-Kwon-Do 2
Learn basic Tae-Kwon-Do and gain self-discipline. This class is combined with teens. The specialty class fee is $15 for members, $20 for non-members.
Toning 'n' Motion
Give your entire body that toned look by using dynamic exercises, that will also challenge your cardiovascular system.
Zumba
Focus on flexibility while working on your cardio vascular system.
YOUTH CLASSES
Dance Dance Revolution (6-15 yrs.)
Move to the right, move to the left, this class will be focused on movement created through the Nintendo Wii game, Dance Dance Revolution.
Soccer (6-12 yrs.)
Learn the basics of soccer in a fun environment. This class will include instruction of skills as well as game play.
Stomp (6-15 yrs.)
Have fun stomping your way to better health.
Strength Training (12-15 yrs.)
Build some muscle by using the strength machines;
must sign up in advance.
Tae-Kwon-Do 1 (6-11 yrs.) & 2 (12-17 yrs.)
Students of this introductory program will learn basic Tae-Kwon-Do foot and hand techniques, self-defense and step sparring techniques, as well as traditional Poomse (forms). Students will also learn the mental aspects of Tae-Kwon-Do such as self-discipline, self-confidence, team-work, and positive attitudes.
Zumba (6-15 yrs.)
Perform high energy Latin style dance moves in a group exercise format.
