Lawndale Christian Fitness Center
LCHC offers a new fitness center to the Lawndale and Garfield communities. Lawndale Christian Fitness Center is a fully functional fitness center combining general fitness, and fitness classes designed to improve physical health.

Fitness Center guests are encouraged to join on a monthly membership basis, with no joiner fee, but also have the option to pay for daily use. Our rates are designed to be affordable.

LCFC offers new Family Membership plans, designed to offer your whole family the chance to stay fit together! Classes for youth are offered at the same times as some of our popular adult classes to make your workout more convenient.

We offer a variety of classes.
For members, classes are free; for non-members, only $10 for the eight week session.

Cardio Blast
Get a jump on your workout! This class focuses on getting your cardiovascular system in shape, and it will leave you charged for the rest of your day.

Cardio Flex
Focus on flexibility while working your cardiovascular system.

Cardio Mix
Increase your cardiorespiratory capacity through cross-training.

Cardio Punch
Improve balance, coordination, speed and strength. Develop new skill while discovering strength and attitude. This is a high intensity class.

Circuit Training
Work out every muscle in your body while keeping your heart rate up. Resistance bands, dumbbells, and even your own body weight will be used as resistance.

COR-iffic
In just 30 minutes, trengthen and tone your midsection as well as minimize/prevent low back pain.

Exercising with Arthritis (medically- based)
Increase your flexibility, stamina, mobility, and confidence. This class is for people with arthritis, osteoporosis, and Parkinson's Disease and is supported by the Arthritis Foundation. This is a medically-based class and participants will need to receive a referral from an LCHC provider.

Full Body Toning
Shape, tone and strengthen your upper and lower body and become leaner.

Get on the Ball
Increase cardiovascular endurance as well as enhance muscle strength by using large stability balls in creative ways.

A Joy to be Fit© Gospel Aerobics
An aerobic workout in which at least one foot remains in contact with the floor at all times to reduce stress to the knees and back; upper body movements are emphasized for increasing intensity. Encouraged for those suffering from diabetes or obesity. All levels are welcome.

Kick & Crunch
Improve your cardiovascular system using kicking and punching combinations to build up your endurance.

SalsaHolics
30 minutes of instruction on the basic Latin dance steps, (Salsa, Cha Cha, and Meringue) followed by 30 minutes of instruction on basic partner combination. The last 30 minutes will be practice time to show off what you learned. No dance partner required, but preferred.

SilverSneakers® (medically-based)
SilverSneakers® group exercise classes are appropriate for active seniors, as well as those who are less familiar with exercise. Exercises include work for all major and minor muscle groups addressing strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, balance, coordination, agility, speed and power. This is a medically-based class and participants will need to receive a referral from an LCHC provider.

SilverSneakers® Stretch & Flex (medically-based)
Stretching exercises that will increase flexibility, posture and breathing. This is a medically-based class and participants will need to receive a referral from an LCHC provider.

Six-Pack Attack
Sculpt, strengthen, and increase the endurance of your abdominal muscles.

Step Aerobics
Learn the basic step movements while receiving a great workout. All levels are welcome.

Strength Toning
Strengthen and tone your body using resistance equipment such as tubing and resista-balls.

Toning 'n' Motion
Give your entire body that toned look by using dynamic exercises, that will also challenge your cardiovascular system.

Zumba
Focus on flexibility while working on your cardio vascular system.

FAMILY CLASSES

Cheerleading (6-15 yrs.)
Learn basic cheerleading skills while strengthening body, mind and soul.

Dr. Aerobics (adults & kids 6-17 yrs.)
A fun-filled, family-oriented, bilingual exercise class focusing on cardiovascular fitness. Taught by LCHC's own pediatrician, Dr. Tara de Jesus.

Family Circuit (adults & kids 10-17 yrs.)
Learn the fundamentals of strength training while toning your body. A class for the entire family.

Hip Hop Dance (6-15 yrs.)
Explores the basic skills of hip-hop dance with high energy and free, creative spirits. Combine style and technique into a choreographed sequence, with a class presentation at the end of the session so you can display your talent to parents & friends. No experience is necessary.

Latin Dance (6-15 yrs.)
Learn folklore dances from South America.

Road Runners (10-12 yrs.)
Build your endurance through running. This class will be held on the Douglas Park track; sign up required (Limit 7).

Soccer (6-10 yrs.)
Learn the basics of soccer in a fun environment. This class will include instruction of skills as well as game play.

Sport Circuit (9-17 yrs.)
Exercise your sports skills while participating in a variety of games, circuit training, and other fun activities.

Tae-Kwon-Do 1 (6-11 yrs.) & 2 (12-17 yrs.)
Students of this introductory program will learn basic Tae-Kwon-Do foot and hand techniques, self-defense and step sparring techniques, as well as traditional Poomse (forms). Students will also learn the mental aspects of Tae-Kwon-Do such as self-discipline, self-confidence, team-work, and positive attitudes.

Youth Praise Stomp (6-15 yrs.)
Have a blast while stomping your way to better health.
