Physician: Dr. Janice Rossbach
Dr. Rossbach completed medical school at the University of Illinois in 1980. She is currently licensed as an allopathic physician in the state of Illinois, specializing in internal medicine. She has worked at Lawndale Christian Health Center since 1984.
Physician: Dr. Janice Huber
Dr. Huber, MD, FACP, trained and practiced at Rush University Medical Center in general Internal Medicine. She then spent four years in Kenya caring for HIV patients before coming to Lawndale in 2007.
Supervisor: Sonji Miller
Sonji received a B.A. in Liberal Arts and a Master of Science degree in Public Service Management, both from DePaul University. She is a Fellow of the Center for Disease Control Institute for HIV Prevention Leadership. Sonji provides supervision and oversight to primary care, case management, testing and counseling and outreach activities related to HIV. Sonji also oversees LCHC's substance abuse services. Health Support Worker/Case Manager: Jerry Bolden
A long-time resident of the Lawndale community, Jerry provides case management and support to approximately 40 HIV-positive men and women. Jerry also co-leads the English support group. Health Support Worker/Case Manager: Ana Collazo
Ana is currently working toward her degree in theology. In addition to serving as the HIV team’s bilingual case manager, Ana also facilitates the Spanish support group and sits on the team’s Continuous Quality Improvement committee. Health Support Worker/Case Manager: Patricia Johnson
Patricia has been an HIV/AIDS activist and advocate for the last 15 years, at the local and national level. She leads the HIV Consumer Advisory Committee at LCHC. Test Counselor: Lucia Canas
Lucia is a nurse by education, thus providing a strong resource to the team’s clinical as well as health support services. She serves as the full-time HIV test counselor at the Ogden location, providing pre- and post-test counseling and education to LCHC patients and walk-ins. In addition to her test counseling, she serves as a main source of data entry for HIV primary care. Lucia began as an Outreach Worker in 2003, and became a full-time test counselor in 2004. Test Counselor: Genia Palmer
Genia serves as a full-time HIV test counselor providing pre-and post test counseling and education to LCHC patients and walk-ins at our Homan site. Outreach Worker: Karl Paulsen
Karl serves the HIV team by bringing prevention education, counseling and testing to individuals and organizations outside of LCHC clinic facilities. Karl's outreach also extends to the streets of the Lawndale and Garfield communities. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2005 with a bachelor degree in Urban Ministry. Outreach Worker: Eugene Y. Park
Eugene is a graduate of Northwestern University, School of Communications and plans to attend medical school in the near future. His role as the bilingual outreach worker is to engage the Spanish speaking communities of Little Village (South Lawndale), providing HIV prevention education, testing and counseling.
