Childbirth Classes
LCHC offers free childbirth classes taught by trained instructors. LCHC has a safe environment where participants can discuss concerns and questions with other parents. Classes are FREE of charge and dates and times vary, so please call for more information.
One-On-One Education with a Maternal & Child Health Nurse
The MCH nurse is an important part of the prenatal care patients receive at LCHC. She will assist pregnant moms with their health history and tailor the prenatal education to meet their specific needs.
Case Management and Social Support
The Health Support Worker is also an important part of prenatal care at LCHC. He/She assists patients with both medical and non-medical needs during pregnancy through education, care coordination, brief counseling and effective coping skills. Health Support Workers also coordinate needed services for medical insurance, WIC (nutrition), food and clothing, transportation, housing, daycare, and childhood development education.
Lactation Counseling
LCHC is committed to supporting those who have the desire to breastfeed. Throughout the breastfeeding experience, education, counseling and support is provided, as well as easy access to needed supplies. The clinic’s goal is to help patients ease into breastfeeding and parenting with confidence.
