Specialities (Primary Care)

Adult Medicine
Comprehensive primary Medical Services are provided for adults by our Board Certified physicians. Primary care physicians include those with training in the areas of Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Obstetrics, and Pediatrics. Services are also provided by Family and Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Limited specialists services are provided in the areas of Cardiology, Pulmonology, Infectious Disease, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Neonatology, ENT, and Radiology. LCHC’s primary care physicians are on-call 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Patients requiring inpatient hospital services are normally admitted at either Mt. Sinai Hospital or Bethany Hospital.

Obstetrics
LCHC provides a full range of Obstetrical Services, including gynecology and surgery. A team of caregivers including Obstetricians, Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Educators, and Case Managers provides services. LCHC’s physicians are on-call 24 hours per day, seven days per week. LCHC’s primary care physicians are on-call 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Patients requiring inpatient hospital services are normally admitted at either Mt. Sinai Hospital or Bethany Hospital. In 2004, LCHC delivered over 700 babies. Case Management services are provided to help patients improve their abilities to maintain a healthy pregnancy.

Pediatrics
Comprehensive Pediatric Services are provided on Monday through Saturday. Services include well child care, immunizations, school physicals, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder evaluations, and general pediatrics. Patients requiring inpatient hospital services are normally admitted at Mt. Sinai Hospital.

Tuberculosis
The Tuberculosis (TB) Program is provided in conjunction with the Chicago Department of Public Health. Each year LCHC provides over 8,000 visits of service for patients in need of TB testing or treatment.
