Contributions Why Donate to LCHC? LCHC invites you to get involved with LCHC’s mission by contributing financially. Why does LCHC need your support? LCHC seeks to provide care for the uninsured and for those at highest risk of experiencing poor health. Currently, 47% of LCHC’s patients have no form of health insurance and most live below the federal poverty level. LCHC’s patients experience higher risks for health problems such as teenage pregnancy, asthma, diabetes, substance abuse, cardiovascular disease, and HIV. To achieve positive patient outcomes, LCHC provides more than just an exam room visits. LCHC employs chaplains, outreach workers, health educators, case managers, nutrition counselors, and others to ensure that each patient understands their health care needs and follows through on obtaining the care they need. Because less than 10% of LCHC income comes directly from patients, outside financial support is needed.
